Do You Believe In Witches?

I believe in witches, don't blame me. Blame the witches and what I've seen on the street I live in.
.
.
For those that live in Lagos especially places like Surulere, Mushin, Itire, IyanaApaja, etc. They will testify that most of the landlords/ladies are mostly owned by very old people who may have seen 4 generations but have refused to die. These old people are mostly called witches/
wizards because of what goes in on these compounds and things they do, some fetish things I must say.

This is it, I'm not saying this so you believe me. I'm saying what I see, saw and still seeing. Feel free to call it a # fabu but explain to me why it's a #fabu.

There's a landlord I know. He's over 100. He's my bestfriend's landlord. Every year, one of his grandchildren dies. And this usually happens when he gets sick, immediately they die, he becomes okay.
It's a family compound with 2 sections. One section is for the family and the second is for tenants. Over time, 'we' observed that any body that moves in to the compound, in a period of 3months get broke.
A certain banker moved in newly to the compound. He had a car, I was still in secondary school then. Due to Lagos traffic, he leaves for work by past 6 to arrive on time. In a period of 3months, he lost his job, and used his car for business, taxi purpose.
Next was this famous pharmacist. He had a big pharmacy elsewhere. I know him well because I got my drugs from him on a regular basis. He moved to that compound and before we knew it, his pharmacy was said to have been engulfed in fire.
Next was this aggressive man that always had a frown on his face like everyone was his enemy came newly to the compound. From his loud noise and his usual bragging, it was clear he came from a rich family. In a period of 2months, the containers he was shipping from abroad was held by customs officers, no reason was given. He sold his cars so he could pay them to release his container, it was futile. That was how he lost everything he had and became an okada man. For someone that used to be so rich and all of a sudden became an okada man, you can imagine how frustrated he got. This man was always brought home with plasters all over his body because he took his anger out on someone and got himself badly beaten by thugs.

Long story, it was said that, the baba in that conpound was responsible for their misfortunes. Did I believe it? Yes, I did, don't blame me.
If it happened to one person, yes, I'd let it slide. But this happened to everyone in the compound. My best friend's dad was a pastor but he didn't stay long in that compound, he left. He said there were evil forces around.
What about this baba's children? Their businesses was nothing to write home about.
Every year, a grand child dies.
The last one that died years back caused a great storm which led to baba been exposed. Apparently, one of his own children knew baba was killing the grandchildren but said nothing. When his own child now died, he exposed baba and said baba has been the one killing the others. He went under baba's bed and brought many juju. And how baba tied their names, even with tenants names.

Because of the street I grew up in made me hate cats.
Why can't witches/wizards turn into other animals apart from cats?
2013, I was traveling back to school when tenants from the next compound all gathered to roast a cat. According to them, eating cat meat chases witches away from you. It's said that, when you eat a cat, no witch would come near you or try to harm you.

There was a tree back then that was owned by an old woman that was almost 100years old.
Rumor had it that, the tree was her life and anyone that made any attempt to cut the tree would die.
I've heard how men died just by using cutlass on the tree.
The reason why cutting off the tree was important was because, it was said that, the tree hindered electric light, which was true.
Very true.
So one day, a baba was invited from Ibadan, he had charms all over his body ( the way it is in Yoruba "mofies")
When he came, everyone gathered, expecting him to die like the others that have tried.
He recited some very strong incantations (I love hearing it )
He would say some words, and then laugh, and turn round.
Then he would act like he was running away, then go back to the same spot that he was.
The old woman came out from her house in slow motion, just as it's shown in movies. She also said some incantations and after the display,
He took his cutlass and stabbed the tree and this old woman died.
Everyone ran for their lives.

There are many unbelievable stories. Some I heard, some I was told.
To be honest, I saw many spiritual things. Things I can't really explain.
.

Do you believe in witches?
Have you had any encounter?
Can you explain what happened to those tenants? Why their business locked down?
.
.
Lmao! Hahahahhaahahahaha
